Is IU Columbus the right fit for you?
Personal attention, mentorship, and support are cornerstones of IU Columbus, which is an extension of the Indianapolis campus.
With small class sizes and a close-knit community, students receive one-on-one guidance from faculty, strong peer support, and easy access to an array of hands-on research opportunities and community partnership programs.
Despite its small footprint, our campus is a unique environment with notable architecture, art, and sculpture features. Nearby (non-university) housing offers the opportunity to live within walking distance of campus, but students who drive from elsewhere find easy parking and a sense of home away from home.
More to consider
- 79% of our undergraduates are from south-central and southeastern Indiana, and 77% are full-time students.
- The average class size is 14 students.
- 70% of our undergraduates complete internships.

I chose IU Columbus because it’s so close to home. I didn’t want to go away and live in a dorm, and the price for the whole IU degree cost what some colleges charge in a semester.
