Eirika Ösp

EirikaOspMy name is Eiríka Ösp, and I am interested in sedimentary processes and products. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Geology at the University of Iceland in 2018. I worked at the South East Iceland Nature Research Center on a paleoenvironmental project, which focused on the periglacial environment of Breiðamerkursandur, with the goal of reconstructing the characteristics of the outwash plane during the Holocene. My master’s thesis research is a part of Kathy Licht’s and Joseph Graly’s NSF-funded project to study the type and rate of chemical weathering under the ice sheet in East Antarctica.
