ASIA 3013/6013: Readings in Asian Society and History: B, Introductory Mongolian
Course dates: August 9-October 29
Course times: Tuesdays through Fridays, 8:00-9:30 a.m., Canberra Time
Taught by an IU faculty member with local tutorial support at ANU, this course will provide students with an introduction to Mongolian conversation, grammar, and the Cyrillic Script-Modern Mongolian Alphabet while developing a broad knowledge of Mongolian culture and traditions through the use of simple short stories. By the end of the semester, students will be able to use the main cases and verb tenses of Mongolian in their conversation and writing. They will also be able to converse and write short compositions on everyday topics.
